But trying to solve negative emotions by putting chemicals in your brain is a bit like trying to solve an argument on the phone by pouring a bucket of
paint over the phone. It might look like it's going to do something - but is it going to help?

Equally, being put in a chemical straitjacket with tranquilizers won't get your ex back.

In fact, it's been claimed that the one word you can't find a good definition for in the index of a psychiatric
text-book is the word 'normal'.

Let's look at that for a moment. If everyone is a unique individual, and everyone is different, how are psychiatrists supposed to know what 'normal' is? But if they don't know what 'normal' is, how do they know that all these other conditions they've got names for are abnormal and need treatment?

Let's face it, if you loved your ex and all you want is to get your ex back, it is absolutely normal to feel a whole range of strong negative emotions: grief, anger, despair, the whole works. The question is not, "Should I spend thousands of dollars to see a psychiatrist or psychologist who won't even know when I'm back to normal?" It's "What am I going to do about this situation that's going to make things better for me?"

And for some, that means, "I don't really want to walk away and I don't really want to wallow in regret. I want life. And I want to get my ex back."

If you're thinking like this, congratulations. You're pretty sane, and you're pretty normal. And there is something you can do about the situation.

If psychiatrists knew anything much about the human mind and the human brain, the world would look a lot better than it does right now. And if psychologists know so much about making things better, how come they charge so much money for people to come back to them week after week … after week … after week … after year …with no results.

Skip it. Trust yourself. Believe us, you know more about you than any shrink. If you want to get your ex back, that's normal.

All these 'psychiatric conditions' are 'treatable' by
giving people drugs that are supposed to affect how the brain works. "Yes,
pop these lovely blue pills down you and just like magic you will no longer
want to get your ex back."

What's the solution when you want to get your ex back so badly after a break up that you feel your mental health may be at risk?

There are literally hundreds of psychiatric labels for just about every human
condition you can think of. There is even a long scientific name for having a
phobia about the texture of peanut butter stuck on the roof of the mouth:
"Arachibutyrophobia".
